Every business is unique, and so is every mix of employees. You may have full-time, part-time, and even seasonal workers. With recent changes to Medicaid eligibility, some of your part-time and seasonal employees may be without health coverage. Anthem can connect you with the information you need to guide uninsured employees to coverage that can help protect their health and their budget. What’s changed about Medicaid eligibility and renewals? Before the COVID-19 public health emergency (PHE), Medicaid eligibility was reviewed each year. This process of checking eligibility is sometimes referred to as Medicaid Renewal, Medicaid Redetermination, Medicaid Recertification, or Medicaid Unwinding. 1 During the PHE, most reviews of Medicaid eligibility were paused. Now eligibility reviews have started again, and some of your employees may no longer qualify. This could be because of changes in age, income, or other factors.
